Food Science Showcase - NCIFT Student Recognition Banquet

NCIFT Annual Meeting and Student Recognition Banquet, featuring Harold McGee

Enjoy a three-course meal while meeting other industry professionals and UC Davis Food Science faculty, staff, and students. Student scholarship winners will be recognized before feature speaker and acclaimed author Harold McGee presents his keynote address.


Entree options include...

  • Ultimate Chicken: fresh herb and olive oil chicken served with sun-dried tomato tapenade and herbed cheese polenta.
  • Peppered Tri-Tip: peppered spiced tri-tip with a rich mushroom sauce topped with caramelized onions and whole roasted garlic served aside piped duchess potatoes
  • Butternut Squash Ravioli (vegetarian): served with alfredo cream sauce and fresh Parmesan
  • Trio Couscous Pepper (vegan): trio of bell peppers, couscous, and spinach topped with decadent roasted red pepper sauce

Dinner also includes a baby spinach, raspberry walnut vinaigrette salad, artisan rolls, lemon tart dessert, iced water, and coffee.

All events will take place at the UC Davis Conference Center. Parking is available on campus for $9/day.

2:30 - 4:30 pm: Food Industry Fair

4:00 - 5:30 pm: Research Poster Presentation

Learn about current research being conducted in the Department of Food Science and Technology at UC Davis. Free, no registration required

5:00 - 6:30 pm: Networking Reception

6:00 - 8:00 pm: Northern California IFT Annual Meeting and Student Recognition Banquet
