California Native Plant Foods Celebration and Symposium

The symposium will bring together over 220 Tribal leaders, academic researchers, and food system practitioners. It is being organized by faculty, staff, and students from several UC Davis units, with Tribal community leaders and representatives playing key roles as advisors, panel speakers, and cultural demonstrators.

This event was made possible through the generous support from The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF)-University of California (UC) Davis, UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Programmatic Initiative Fund, California Native Plant Society (CNPS) and Sacramento Valley Chapter, Tribal Council of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (FIGR), Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, Farmhand Foundation, Watershed Nursery, UC Davis School of Education, UC Davis Health | School of Medicine, UC Davis Department of Nutrition, UC Davis | The Nest, and UC Davis Grand Challenges.
